MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR
To all of our Hunny Pots families, we wish you a very special Christmas and a safe New Year.
Simon and I thank you all for another wonderful year and the opportunity to provide a safe and fun environment to nurture learning for your precious children.
Each year we reflect on our implementation, policies and procedures. We are really excited for a fresh new year and what 2018 will bring.
ENDING ENROLMENTS FOR 2017 & ENROLMENTS FOR 2018
We will be operating up to and including Friday 22nd December. All current enrolments will be to this date.
We return on Monday 8th January 2018. All existing enrolments will commence from the 8th January. If you are on holidays in January, please let us know.
INVOICES FOR THE END OF YEAR
We will be sending the final invoice for 2017 on Monday 4th December.
This invoice will cover from 4th– 22nd December 2017.
Please have all accounts finalised by Friday 15th December.
iPay direct debit will start from the New Year. We will invoice on Monday 8th January 2018 and it is generally processed within 2 days. If there are any changes to your CCB/CCR etc it will be adjusted immediately with each invoice.

Due to the changes in the Children’s services regulations, guide and law, our educators breaks must be backfilled. We are currently staffing this at present and will continue to do so.
An additional educator has been rostered to cater to this change.
Therefore a $2 per day increase has occurred for the centre.
This increase will be effective from Monday 8th January 2018.
No bonds will be adjusted at this moment.
FUN ACTIVITIES FOR DECEMBER
Every day, every week is always loads of fun, however we will have an action packed FUN for the end of the year!
MONDAY 11TH DECEMBER – MAGIC CRAIG SHOW! $8 added to your invoice for Tiggers and Poohs Corner children.
All centre rooms – Dress up day & Disco day
TUESDAY 12TH DECEMBER – Treasure hunt day – exploring the centre! Movie day- bring a pillow.
WEDNESDAY 13TH DECEMBER – Dress up in Christmas clothes/colours! We will have face painting and party games.
THURSDAY 14TH DECEMBER – Bike and scooter day Tiggers and Poohs Corner children only. Park your bikes/scooters in the car park – must bring a helmet (NO HELMET NO RIDING) Car park will be closed from 10am. Eeyores – Teddy Bears Picnic – bring your favourite Teddy Bear for fun and games.
FRIDAY 15TH DECEMBER – Water day! Bring swimmers, rashie shirt, towel, dry clothes, water toys FOR ALL ROOMS!
GOODBYE AND GOOD LUCK
Goodbye to many families in Pooh’s Corner who have children going off to school next year!
We have had many families be a part of the centre for several years, as all of their children have gone through the centre. To those families who it is your last child leaving Hunny Pots, we wish you love, luck and happiness. Please come back and say hello – we always love to keep in touch!
To the children going to school in 2018 – we wish you the best of luck and we would love to see you in the New Year in your school uniform!
PORTFOLIO’S AND PHOTO DVD
Your child’s portfolio and end of year report will be available on our last full week of the year eg: 18th-22nd December.
This will also come with your child’s room DVD – a collection of photos from throughout the year.
Portfolio’s and DVD’s will only be handed out to families with no outstanding fees.
CHILDREN MOVING ROOMS
We have many children moving rooms next year! They have been participating in our orientation process to become aware of their new room and the routine. It would be great if you could talk at home about your child’s new room next year to help them understand the transition. All children move into their new rooms for the start of the New Year. Thank you.
MAINTENANCE OVER THE HOLIDAYS
The centre will be painted over the Christmas closure! We are very excited to freshen up the centre and thank our landlords for organising this.
You will see the centre looking very bare in our last week for 2017 in preparation for painting.
STAFF FOR 2018
We Welcome Miss Emma.W and Miss Jane to our team!
We have additional educators in 2018 to cover breaks, programming, annual leave, long service leave and illness.
STAFFING ARRANGEMENTS ARE:
Eeyores Spot – Miss Jessica, Miss Rhiannon, Miss Emma.C and Miss Emma.W.
Tiggers Place – Miss Jo, Miss Kayley
Pooh’s Corner – Miss Allison, Miss Rupinder, Miss Shazia, Miss Prabh
Miss Kim will assist with annual leave/long service leave/illness relief.
Miss Jane will assist in all rooms for the start of the year. Miss Maria will assist us in the afternoons, Miss Elizabeth will assist us in Poohs Corner for the start of the year then with program release and break relief, Miss Amanda and Miss Rose will assist us with break relief.
END OF YEAR PARTY
Our end of year party was last Friday 1st December – it was such a fantastic evening with the children performing beautifully! It is always a lovely evening to share with you all.
CHRISTMAS SHOW FOR EEYORES (2.5YRS +)TIGGERS AND POOHS
We have Magic Craig coming on Monday 11th December to perform a Christmas show!
Cost $8 per child attending Monday in Eeyores (2.5yrs +), Tiggers and Pooh’s Corner. You will see this charge on your invoice.
Centre Closure over the Christmas break – We will be operating up to and including Friday 22nd December 2017. We will re open on Monday 8th January 2018.
The office will be closed for the 2 weeks – no emails or phone messages will be responded to until Monday 8th January during this closure time.
