RE ENROLMENTS FOR 2019

Re-enrolment notes will be emailed to you via HUBWORKS message centre the first week of August.

Re-enrolments for 2019 are due by Friday 17th August. All existing enrolments need to complete this form to let us know your requirements for 2019.

NO NOTICE PERIOD TO WITHDRAW / REDUCE DAYS IN DECEMBER OR JANUARY

Poohs Corner enrolments cease at the end of the calendar year eg: last day at Hunny Pots 21ST December.

You will receive confirmation in September 2018. Update of bonds are due by Wednesday 19th September 2018 to secure your child’s days of attendance for 2019.

Reducing/withdrawing confirmed days for 2019 after the Wednesday 19th September (eg: reducing days from 5 days to 2 days) will mean you to forfeit your bond for the days reduced.

Your child’s current enrolment pattern must be ongoing throughout 2018 to maintain your confirmed 2019 enrolment. Any notice / withdrawal / reduction will void this 2019 confirmation.

If your child doesn’t attend on a Wednesday or Thursday, and you wish to have a photo taken, please advise on your order form what day you will come in.

Our photographer will arrive approximately 8.30am. Time to be confirmed.

Group photos of the classes will be approximately 10am. Times to be confirmed.

Sandy on Wednesday and Monique on Thursday will be observing and assisting the sessions to run smoothly.

Some children can be serious in photos; the photographer tries very hard to get the best possible shot. We have been told it is generally a 4-6 week turnaround of photos returning.

We look forward to seeing these photos!

FATHER’S AFTERNOON TEA

We would like to invite all our fathers to come along for an afternoon tea with their child/ren on Friday 31st August from 2.30-4.00PM. (Afternoon tea 2.30-3pm – play 3-4pm)

This year we will have construction and sports play with the father’s. Please come along to spend some quality time with your child.

If your child doesn’t attend on Fridays, you are welcome to join us for the afternoon tea/ play with your child/ren.

We will send out an invite shortly and there will be an RSVP list in the foyer soon so we can cater accordingly.

PROVIDING FRUIT AND VEGETABLES

A friendly reminder for all Tigger’s and Pooh’s Corner families to bring a piece of fruit in each day their child attends.

You are encouraged to alternate between vegetables and fruit that can be eaten raw – to be added to our fruit and vegetable platters for morning and afternoon tea.

BIRTH CERTIFICATES AND CURRENT IMMUNISATION STATEMENTS.

If you have immunised your child recently e.g.: 1yr immunisation, 18mth chicken pox immunisation, 4yr old immunisation, please provide us with the updated record of this immunisation.

We must have a copy of your child’s up to date immunisation status on the premises.

No immunisation = no enrolment. This is a government regulation.

Also, please provide us with a copy of your child’s birth certificate.

Please check with the office if you are unsure if we have these documents.

OUR LEARNING FRAMEWORK-

Everyday our educators spend a lot of time writing/typing up the curriculum plan and daily diary to show families what we have been doing with your children throughout the day.

Our daily diary includes our Learning stories, weekend book extensions etc. This is emailed to families each day via our software HUBWORKS.

The curriculum planner is with us at all times. This documents children’s learning, links to the EYLF and NQF, spontaneous experiences, learning stories and assists with future planning. We encourage families to take the time to read their child’s curriculum planner and contribute to the program and/or offer feedback.

Families who write in the weekend book see their child’s interest develop into a fun learning experience. It enriches the children’s learning as families are able to discuss this learning with their children.

Thank you to those families who contribute – our curriculum is better for it! This assists in motivating our educators, knowing that families read their hard work.

Please take this opportunity to stop for 1-2 minutes and read about your child’s day. THANK YOU IN ADVANCE.

LABELLING YOUR CHILD’S BELONGINGS

Please ensure all items are labeled e.g.: drink bottles, clothing, hats etc. It is very difficult to rely on staff to know who belongs to what each day (we have 115 children each week!)

This is also a great task for Pooh’s Corner to achieve – looking after their belongings for school readiness.

EDUCATOR PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

On Monday 30th July evening, Simon and Monique attended the Australian Childcare Alliance network meeting in Blacktown.

On Tuesday 31st July evening, 11 of our educators completed their child protection refresher through WAVE learning.
