MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR
To all of our Hunny Pots families, we wish you a very special Christmas and a safe New Year. Simon and I thank you all for a wonderful year and the opportunity to provide a safe and fun environment to nurture learning for your precious children.
Each year we are grateful to our dedicated educators and teachers who implement our philosophy. They are the wheels in motion of providing the hands on care, the love, the fun and ideas.
We as management are incredibly proud of the team and what they provide.
Families are asking for the educators names in the rooms at present (2016) –

ENDING ENROLMENTS FOR 2016 & ENROLMENTS FOR 2017
We will be operating up to and including Wednesday 21st December. All current enrolments will be to this date.
We return on Thursday 5th January 2017. All existing enrolments will commence from the 5th January. If you are on holidays in January, please let us know.
INVOICES FOR THE END OF YEAR
I will be sending the final invoice for 2016 on Monday 5th December.
This invoice will cover from 5th– 21st December 2016.
Please have all accounts finalised by Friday 9th December.
FUN ACTIVITIES FOR DECEMBER
Every day, every week is always loads of fun, however we will have an action packed FUN for the end of the year!
MONDAY 12TH DECEMBER – Bike and scooter day Tiggers and Poohs Corner children only. Park your bikes/scooters in the carpark – must bring a helmet (NO HELMET NO RIDING) Car park will be closed from 10am.
MONDAY 12TH DECEMBER – Eeyores only. Sports and games day. Come dressed in sports clothes for different sports and game activities!
TUESDAY 13TH DECEMBER – Water day! Bring swimmers, rashie shirt, towel, dry clothes, water toys FOR ALL ROOMS!
WEDNESDAY 14TH DECEMBER – Dress up in Christmas clothes/colours! We will have face painting and party games.
THURSDAY 15TH DECEMBER- Water day! Bring swimmers, rashie shirt, towel, dry clothes, water toys. We will also have a car wash happening in the car park from 10am.
Car park closed at 10am.
FRIDAY 16TH DECEMBER – Dress up “When I grow up, I would like to be……..” also Disco day and game day!
MONDAY 19TH DECEMBER – Water day! Bring swimmers, rashie shirt, towel, dry clothes, water toys FOR ALL ROOMS!
TUESDAY 20th DECEMBER – Children exploring the centre – open rooms! Treasure hunts!
WEDNESDAY 21ST DECEMBER – Last day Movie day (only G rated movies) bring a pillow.
GOODBYE AND GOOD LUCK
Goodbye to many families in Pooh’s Corner who have children going off to school next year!
We have had many families be a part of the centre for several years, as all of their children have gone through the centre. To those families who it is your last child leaving Hunny Pots, we wish you love, luck and happiness. Please come back and say hello – we always love to keep in touch!
To the children going to school in 2017 – we wish you the best of luck and we would love to see you in the New Year in your school uniform!
PORTFOLIO’S AND PHOTO DVD
Your child’s portfolio and end of year report will be available on our last full week of the year eg: 12th-16th December.
This will also come with your child’s room DVD – a collection of photos from throughout the year.
Portfolio’s and DVD’s will only be handed out to families with no outstanding fees.
CHILDREN MOVING ROOMS
We have many children moving rooms next year! They have been participating in our orientation process to become aware of their new room and the routine. It would be great if you could talk at home about your child’s new room next year to help them understand the transition. All children move into their new rooms for the start of the New Year. Thank you.
CAR PARK SAFETY
Please ensure your child walks with you in the car park – we have many children who are running in the car park. Whilst it might be quiet at that time, it is important to teach our children life lessons of road safety at all times.
Please ask your children not to ride on the gate. It puts the gate ‘out’ and stops it from closing by itself. This is a safety issue with children then having access to the car park.
MAINTENANCE OVER THE HOLIDAYS
Our pine trees in our backyard have been removed due to a neighbour request/wasp issue/softfall maintenance. We will be planting some native plants to enhance the natural environment and shade.
Over the Christmas closure the wet floor areas – Kitchen, laundry, bathroom flooring will be replaced.
This will be safer flooring for the wet areas.

Tiggers Place – Miss Jo, Miss Taylor and Miss Caroline
Poohs Corner – Miss Allison, Miss Rupinder, Miss Malena, Miss Olivia
Miss Maria will assist us in the afternoons.
END OF YEAR PARTY
We are looking forward to our end of year party on Friday 9th December – our children have been practicing their songs for you with excitement. It’s always a lovely afternoon/evening to spend time with families.
POOH’S CORNER GRADUATION
On Tuesday 20th December Pooh’s Corner will have their graduation party at Lollipop’s Playland, Castle Hill. 6pm-8pm.
We will meet you there; payment into Lollipops is made at the main counter.
Supper will be served at 6.30/6.45pm.
It is always a lovely evening to see the children playing and the families having a chance to chat and catch up. The graduation is a lovely informal ceremony to celebrate the children finishing preschool.
We look forward to seeing you there.
CHRISTMAS SHOW FOR TIGGERS AND POOHS
We have Jenny from Happy time for kids coming on Friday 9th December to perform a Christmas show!
A busy day as we will have our party that afternoon!
Cost $8 per child attending Friday in Tiggers and Poohs Corner. You will see this charge on your invoice.
Centre Closure over the Christmas break – We will be operating up to and including Wednesday 21st December 2016. We will re open on Thursday 5th January 2017.
The office will be closed for the 2 weeks – no emails or phone messages will be responded to until Thursday 5th January during this closure time.
