Children from Eeyores and Tiggers Place will be participating in orientation if they are moving up a room for 2021. We will do this in small groups to ensure ratios are being met. If your child has participated in orientation, we will let you know.
Children participating in orientation for BIG school are to be taken by their parents/family and returned to Hunny Pots by their family. Due to regulations, we cannot take or pick up the children from school orientation. Please ensure you sign in/out upon dropping off and picking up.
New families are invited to attend orientation from the 23/11 to the 18/12. These will be booked sessions to ensure one new family per room at a time. You may hear your children talking about new friends.

WITHDRAWAL OF YOUR CHILD/REDUCING DAYS
Parents must give at least three weeks written notice to the Director before withdrawing their child from Hunny Pots. If the child does not attend the Centre during this period, fees are still payable (Please see the below section: A child who has not yet received care or who has ceased receiving care) If the child is withdrawn without notice, three weeks full fees must be paid regardless.
Parents may reduce their child’s days of attendance by giving three weeks’ notice to the Director.
No notice period accepted in December and January for withdrawing or reducing days.
A child who has not yet received care or who has ceased receiving care
Below is from the Child Care Handbook Australian Government Department of Education and Training:
Child Care Subsidy will not be paid for absences where a provider charges a family to reserve a place for a child who has not yet physically started care.
If a child is booked in to start at a service on a particular date, and does not start on that day, no Child Care Subsidy will be paid until the child physically attends a session of care.
Similarly, a child care service is taken to have permanently ceased providing care for a child on the day the child last physically attends a session of care. This means that Child Care Subsidy will not be paid for absences submitted after a child last physically attends a session of care.
If a family has confirmed their child’s last day at a service, but that child does not attend their last booked sessions of care, no Child Care Subsidy will be paid for any days after the child’s last physical attendance at the service.
If a provider continues to charge fees for sessions on days after a child has left the service because the family did not give the agreed period of notice, Child Care Subsidy will not be payable for these sessions of care. If absences are reported in the above circumstances and Child Care Subsidy is incorrectly paid, these amounts will be recovered from the service.
You must attend the last day of care to receive child care subsidy on your last day.

QUALITY AREA SEVEN –
Governance and Leadership.
We have management systems in place to manage risk and enable effective management and operation of our service. Our policies are researched and sourced appropriately to be the guide of our operations.
We have responsible people on duty who have the role and responsibility to make the effective decisions of the service. (please see who is the Responsible person on duty – located on the big board in the foyer)
Our leadership consists of a strong team of a Director, Educational leaders, assistant directors, room leader and second in charge. This helps us to build and promote a positive organizational culture.
We have a continuous Improvement plan (we call it our QIP, Quality Improvement Plan) – our team add to this consistently through evaluating goals, adding strengths and reflecting on the exceeding themes.
Educational leadership – we have two very dedicated Educational leaders Miss Allison and Miss Jo, who support and lead the development and implementation of the educational program and assessment and planning cycle. They also work in the office – Miss Jo (Monday) and Miss Allison (Wednesday) as assistant directors. They mentor of team of educators to set and achieve individual professional goals.
At Hunny Pots, we strongly believe in professional development training. This is based on the services needs, individual goals and strengths.
We evaluate the professional goals ongoing through the mentoring with the educational leaders but also through our appraisals to ensure each individual plan supports learning and development of each educator.
