ENROLMENTS FOR EARLY LEARNING CENTRE – 2017
I am in the process of confirming positions for 2017 – these confirmations will be sent via email.
Bonds are due by Friday 7th October 2016.
Rooms are filling just with existing families!
Please advise if you don’t require all days as we have a lengthy waitlist.
All existing enrolments commence upon return for 2017 – Thursday 5th January.

BUSY MONTH!
We had our Father’s Day construction play/ afternoon tea on Thursday 1st September What a great turn out! Thank you for coming along.
We also celebrated White balloon day on Friday 9th September to raise awareness for child protection. We raised $40 for Bravehearts.
We also farewelled Miss Natalie on Friday 9th September.
We had the Lah Lah Big Live band show on Tuesday 6th September. It was such a great morning!.
This Thursday we had iKiFit workshop for Tiggers and Poohs Corner children – Thursday 15th September.
OFFICE HOURS FOR 26TH-30TH SEPTEMBER 2016
For the week of the 26-30th September Simon and Monique will be on a short holiday.
The office will be opening for short periods of time.
It will be best to email during this time so we can check emails upon our return.
The opening hours of the office just for this week will be:
Monday 8-5pm (Sandy and Allison)
Tuesday 9-5pm (Allison)
Wednesday 10-5pm (Sandy)
Thursday 10-4 (Sandy)

DAFFODIL DAY
Thank you everyone who donated a gold coin for daffodil day. There was LOTS of yellow in the centre!
We raised $30.20 for the cancer council
FRUIT AND VEGETABLES
Thank you Tigger’s and Pooh’s Corner families for bringing in the fruit daily. We have a wonderful selection for our fruit and vegetable platters.
We also encourage vegetables to be brought in – cherry tomatoes, carrots, snow peas, cucumbers etc.
SUN PROTECTION/CLOTHING
As the weather warms up……..Please remember, our sun protection policy states for all children to wear a broad brimmed, legionaries style hat or bucket style hat- NO BASEBALL HATS ALLOWED!
We have a lot of children not bringing in hats, we don’t have many spare hats so please ensure you pack a hat for your child as we do follow the NO HAT NO PLAY rule.
Also, for children to wear clothing that covers their shoulders – NO SINGLETS, STRAP DRESSES OR MUSCLE TOPS. NO THONGS ALLOWED.
This is to encourage lifelong sun protection skills for your child.
SCHOOL READINESS
Our school readiness room – Pooh’s Corner will have lunchbox days and crunch and sip days throughout term 4. An email will be sent with more information and dates.
STAFF TRAINING
Miss Jessica will be attending Early Years Learning Framework training in Parramatta on Friday 16th September.
UPCOMING EVENTS
iKit workshop – safe respectful learners for Tiggers and Poohs Corner children. 9.30-10.30am for Tiggers children. 10.30-11.30am for Poohs Corner children. Hunny Pots will utilize the funding of our National partnerships grant to cover this cost.
RESEARCH PROJECT
On Tuesday 4th and Wednesday 5th October 2016 we will be working with NSW Health – Hunter New England Local District Health regarding an online childcare menu planning trial (COMET) study.
Families in Tiggers Place will be asked to complete a survey (handed out to you by our educators) prior to these dates.
We are excited to be involved in this research – we thank you in advance.

– Pooh’s Corner Lollipops Graduation Party – Tuesday 20th DECEMBER 2016 6-8pm at Castle Hill Lollipops Playland. More details to follow.
Centre Closure over the Christmas break – We will be operating up to and including Wednesday 21st December 2016 and reopening on Thursday 5th January 2017.
All existing enrolments commence from the 5th January 2016.
