I am in the process of confirming positions for 2018 – these confirmations have been sent via email.
Bonds are due by Wednesday 20th September 2017.
Rooms are becoming full – limited spaces left.
If you know of anyone after a position for next year – to come in quick!
Poohs Corner enrolments for 2017 will finish on Friday 22nd December 2017.
All existing enrolments commence upon return for 2018 – Monday 8th January 2018.

BUSY MONTH!
We had our Father’s Day construction play/afternoon tea on Friday 1st September. We had some gardening activities and craft experiences – what a fantastic turn out! It was so great to see so many dads!.
We will also celebrate White balloon day on Friday 8th September to raise awareness for child protection. Gold coin donation appreciated.
OFFICE HOURS FOR 22nd September -10th October 2017

WOOLWORTHS EARN AND LEARN IS BACK!
Starting on Wednesday 26th July to the 19th September 2017, for every $10 spent at Woolworths you will earn a sticker.
Please place the stickers in the labeled “Hunny Pots ELC” box at Glenwood Woolworths or bring in these stickers to Hunny Pots ELC as they help us to ‘buy’ resources!

TOY CATALOGUE FUNDRAISER
We have Educational experience and Parent Direct toy catalogues in the foyer.
They are great ways to buy educational and fun resources as presents – remember Christmas isn’t far away.
Orders due by the 8th September.
FRUIT AND VEGETABLES
Thank you Tigger’s and Pooh’s Corner families for bringing in the fruit daily. We have had a wonderful selection for our fruit and vegetable platters.
We also encourage vegetables to be brought in – cherry tomatoes, carrots, snow peas, cucumbers etc.
FOOD BROUGHT IN FROM HOME
We have to be very strict with what food comes into the centre. This is for medical reasons of children having food allergies or anaphylaxis reactions. It is also to support our nutrition policy.
Please be aware of what foods you are bringing in.
To save an educator having to remove the food from your child and upsetting them, please don’t bring in…….nut items, sugary cereal foods eg: coco pops, fruit loops etc, jams, flavoured milk (just to name a few)
We don’t want to play the bad guy, so please if needed, keep these food items at home.
HOSTING STUDENTS
To work with our community, we have a few students coming in for their placements. We work closely with many colleges and registered training authorities to encourage a passion for early childhood education.
You will see some new student faces throughout the remainder of the year.
SUN PROTECTION/CLOTHING
As the weather warms up……..Please remember, our sun protection policy states for all children to wear a broad brimmed, legionaries style hat or bucket style hat- NO BASEBALL HATS ALLOWED!
We have a lot of children not bringing in hats, we don’t have many spare hats so please ensure you pack a hat for your child as we do follow the NO HAT NO PLAY rule.
Also, for children to wear clothing that covers their shoulders – NO SINGLETS, STRAP DRESSES OR MUSCLE TOPS. NO THONGS ALLOWED.
This is to encourage lifelong sun protection skills for your child.
SCHOOL READINESS
Our school readiness room – Pooh’s Corner will have lunchbox days and crunch and sip days throughout term 4. An email will be sent with more information and dates.

– End of Year Party – Friday 1st DECEMBER from 4.30pm at Hunny Pots ELC.
– Pooh’s Corner Lollipops Graduation Party – Thursday 30th November 2017 6-8pm at Castle Hill Lollipops Playland. More details to follow.
EVENTS
White Balloon Day – Friday 8th September. Wear WHITE to raise awareness for child protection. Gold coin donation available all week for BRAVEHEARTS.
SPORTS WEEK/FOOTBALL GRAND FINALS! – The week of the 25th September to the 29th September, we will be having some fun dressing up each day in our sports colours/jersey’s.
Sports activities will be set up daily leading up to the Grand finals on the weekend!
Centre Closure over the Christmas break – We will be operating up to and including Friday 22nd December 2017 and reopening on Monday 8th January 2018.
